Obsolete sleeve artwork found on snack line 2, check your packaging bays

A sleeve with a superseded allergen statement was found in the snack line 2 packaging bay at the label check this morning and the line was held. Every line leader must check their packaging bay and the packaging store today for any sleeve, carton or label that does not match the current approved artwork, quarantine anything found and record it in the non-conformance register. Thank you to the crew for stopping the line.

Safety

Heat resistant gauntlets now at every oven exit, Shepparton

After the burn injury on 5 September, heat resistant gauntlets are now mounted at every oven exit and the work instruction for clearing a tin jam has been updated. Nobody is to clear a jam without gauntlets and without stopping the exit conveyor. Line leaders will cover the change at the next toolbox talk and record attendance.

People

Long service recognition and new starters

Congratulations to the eleven staff across the three sites who reached ten, fifteen and twenty years of service this quarter. We also welcome eight new production operators and two apprentice technicians who started this week. Please look after them, include them in your toolbox talks and remember that new operators work with a buddy until their training record is signed off.
